Gilera Runner 209 ccm Quattro valve

are you sure that you're oil channels where open in the cylinder and in the carter?
it looks like it did'nt got enough oil imo.

@velo:
is the piston cracked?

@ Edwin

there was no problem with the oil. the channel were open and the head was full of oil.

maybe it was not good nitrided / hardened (if i look at other malossi camshats they´re black)

yes, it was / is all ok. as i said, it isn´t my first engine that i tuned or repaired ;)
yeah, most of de camshafts turn black after some riding (also originals)
i never had a black original camshaft, see this first time at a new malossi cam.

however, there is something wrong with the cam that i got.

Regards
Chris

Definately looks like oil trouble.

The piston is 100% dead, I wonder what happended It have smoked black when starting the last couple of times.

I think I'll go all in on displacement and get my self the 278 cc Kübler kit

remember kubler kit isn't made for very high rev's ;)

your piston looks like it got to much forces on it and finally snapped
How many rev's was your bike making now ?

I'm still waiting for my new exhaus.t...

in the mean time i bought myself a new toy

crf450.jpg

crf450x :d

with flowed head and 490cc stoker kit (62,1 stroke x 100 bore) :D

I have thought about chosing the 244 because of the less stroke.
But displacement is a way of getting power. And I wan't to see how much power there is to gain. I wan't 25+ less is a dissapointment.

The 209 kit was rewing at 11.500 +/- a few hundred

Nice ride.
Is it the Polini 100 mm you have?

Att: Chri$h
Nice pictures, looks pro (Though sad content x|)

P.s. Malossi OS valves:
Intake: 23 mm
Exhaust: 20.5 mm

Malossi Head valves
Intake: 25 mm
Exhaust: 22.5 mm

Now guess what I have ordered :-)

right part but wrong description. the kit from the first link is the 209cc Kit for leader engines (M3113914).

The second is the for 258cc Kit for quasar engines.

Hi Velo can i fit this to my runner 200vxr engine..I know that 180vxr have smaller rear brke disc or i have mistake?
http://www.speedline.dk/da/scooter/bremseskive-polini-p175-0007/

also if fit that maybe i can fit and that

http://www.malossistore.be/Prodotto.aspx?type=M&MM=MO/PIZS00&C=6212604

I have knowledge about the 200 version drives with a rearwheel mount where there is 6 bolts for the disk. Where on the older 182 cc versions there is 5 bolts for the disk.

In other words, The Polini disk won't fit your rear brake.
And I have trouble to find it possible for you to fit the Malossi as well.

Mine did also make only 14 BHP with that kind of roller weight.
There is a lot of differance in the power at various engine speeds. And it isn't for shure that a given engine speed is what feels best on the street.
