Gilera Runner 209 ccm Quattro valve

Thanks, plan is to race it this year as well.
Conserning calipers, it kind of sucks when they leak. But you should be able to have it changed without problems.

I am looking forward to see what power yours make. Mine hits 140 km/h after aprox 350-400 meters atm.

Conserning F36R
Yes, they are a bit pricy. But, I must say. It is the best money that I have ever spend on my Runner. It performs realy top level, For race or comfort.

Yeah but i got mine used, so i just tightend the bolt a little bit extra and it looks clean and leakfree for now :D

well 140 in 400 meters it won't do ;), but mine is just for fun so it will do.

about the fork, yeah it looks really handsome, but i gotta do it with the f32s, maybe if someone's bored with it i can buy it used ;)

the problem with the dead engine was quickly found....
The spark plug was ok, but the colour was white??
so i pulled of the carb en tested it... NO FUEL
the fuekl hose NO FUEL.... vacuum then ?
AHA
GetAttachment.jpg

Found it, the nipple of the vacuum somehow got lose:S
If but it back in place with some liquid sealing...
if it comes loose again i will have to glue it with 2 component glue
i still need to install a smaller jet, because it;s stuttering.....
but i got out of time, hopefully this weekend the engine will have quite some kilometres on the speedo

Guys I have a little problem:?

My setup:
- Malossi Cilinder 209 cc
- Malossi Multivar 2000 (13G malossi roller)
- Malossi sec gear 15/41
- Malossi CDI
- Malossi Gas box
- Exaust Scorpions
- Carburetor walbro 34mm with 115mm jets Dellorto 5mm

works well, but yesterday I installed a:

- Malossi power cam
- Tuned stock head with Malossi valves and springs
I used the 145mm jets Dellorto. Scooter goes to 8000rpm like a rocket, but above 8000rpm the engine stops (as if he had no fuel) is adjusted carburetor. Drilled a few holes that had more air. Please hint, perhaps the fault of the vacuum?

I hope that I write as understandable. I do not speak fluent English

Mechanic said that my carburetor is too weak power is limited. Carburetor with Piaggio X8 200cm will fit?, Because that I buy at auction

I think it is a really nice power output, especially the fact that there is not even even a trace of the power dropping at high speed!

Maybe you can gain some power by finetuning the settings?

i think that the only thing is left for a good power output, is a good camshaft.
the malossi camshaft is not that good in my opinion, so i think that there can be an improvement maybe.

That sounds resonable.
But question is. Where and what.
It is possible to change a cam by alterring the "non lifting" side. This gives more lift to the valves. It is allso possible to alter the lifting side to alter openings.
But that would take a pro.
But yes. We would like the engine to go + 30BHP

What part of you're crankshaft was broken when you asked to much of you're engine?
Maybe that's a point for me to get better before i give the engine more power.

The big end gave up after some heavy beating.
Afterwards I was told by a Yamaha Cross mekanic that what happened was a common failure due to too long oilshift intervals.

Hey guys does anyone know if i can fit a malossi head V4 and malossi cylinder piston 74mm on a piaggio engine (244cc original) with the camshaft from the 200 VXR?

Hello ;),

My Setup
Malossi
210cm
CDI
Multivar (13g)
Spring&Valve

Scorpion
Carb CVK 30 120 main jet

what is the best setting for speed and acceleration?

Only secondary gear Malossi? or Primary Polini+Secondary Malossi?

thx :)

Best speed should be both gears, If your engine can pull it.
Best accelerations is with only stock gears

I don't now...;( in your opinion?*D.

Depending on your demands. It might be able to pull.
I Use Polini blue spring and yellow or red malossi springs in the clutch.

Conserning using the cam without canging the CDI.
I must say that I havn't tried. But normally sports cams are a good choise to gain performance.

A good reason to upgrade!

Yep, a very fun and amusing weekend, but unfortunately, an engine killer weekend:

Sorry for the bad quality guys.

Hi Velo,

what happen with the engine?
