Gilera Runner 209 ccm Quattro valve

velo ı tried my bike today with the orginal camshaft..it did 0-100 in 7 seconds but it cant make a powerwheelie :S .. when my bike was with only cylinder and variator it was doing powerwheelie but 0-100 in 9 seconds..why it is like this? can it be because of the malossi secondary gears?
 
The gears wil kill your wheely ability.

Conserning the drag speed. It is possible that the valvetiming of the other cam fits your roller setup better compared to the racing cam.

it is still piaggio camshaft on it..ı will buy the malossi one next weekend so can it be because of the piaggo cam? .looking forward to your update
 

Piaggio claims 20 bhp, who tells you the stock 200 engine really has that much power?
I know that a stock 180cc two stroke engine has 17,5 bhp at the rear wheel. A stock 200cc four-stroke will definitely has less hp... So 23bhp with a 209cc (which is an increasement of less then 5% in enginevolume compared to the 200 engine) is not a bad result.

And no, the leader engine is not restricted, it has just been designed to last for lots of kilometres with little maintenance. 250cc (cross)engines with 44bhp like the honda or yamaha will have to be maintaned every 10 hours or something like that to keep them running...

I have hoped to give you some good news. But I have been pretty hocked up at the moment.

There was DHS this weekend (Denmarks Fastest Scooter) Wich I used to promote my new body kit. But Unfortunately. I allso took the life out of my engine. And with the 24H event comming up this weekend. Further updates will at the moment be neglected.

velo do u have a chance to win in a drag with a modified runner 180 2stroke? besides what was your 0-100 kmh with your last setup?

First I'm not so good with English...

I found this project few months ago and it's look fantastic...

I came here because I need your help, I have Gilera Runner VX with:

Malossi 209
Malossi secondary gears
Red Sponge
White variator adjuster spring
Yellow clutch springs

all other is stock

i also had multivar, but he broke down, so I put in stock variator and 11g rolls, and then problems came, scooter it's not going like with multivar, i'm aware that there is difference between multivar and stock variator, but that is so big i didn't knew, he runs now for about 125-130km/h on his stock speedometer...

so I need you opinion what to do with transmission, and I also need help with carburetor, I have stock carb from VX - Walbro WVF-7G, what to with it, to leave it stock or to change jets, on VXR it is Walbro WVF-7H, is there any difference between this two carbs, unless in jets?
 
Things has gne back to normal after the 24H event this weekend.
Now I just have to rebuild the engine before we go to SA WE tomorrow!

Damn that is going to be a looong night!
