Gilera Runner 209 ccm Quattro valve

Velo do you have any ideea about the camshaft stock for gilera runner 125 and the camshaft stock for gilera runner 200...they are the same?they are different?
I`m asking you that because my camshaft malossi came without a "malossi" inscription on it and i`m suspecting them for some tricks...
I think they sell 200 cc stock camshaft as a "tuning" one...

I don't think it is the same.
I know from other engines that it doesn't need malossi inscription to be different from the stock shaft.

Allso.
If I remember right.
The big engine is with valve lifter system and the 125'er isn't

i've got a malossi camshaft without inscription, witch was in un-opend package.
And it was far different from a stock camshaft, so it is very good possible.

The 125cc engine also have the valve lifter system, except the old ''non'leader'' engines.

i know that the camshaft makes the difference on 125-180 cc cilinder but a few days ago i`ve tuned a piaggio beverly 200 cc with malossi cilynder, malossi camshaft and malossi multivar2000.i didn`t "feel" the camshaft difference.that`s why i`ve` asked about the difference between a stock one and a race one!

Hey guys,

I finally got and installed my leo-vince exhaust and malossi variator to Piaggio carnaby; made a big difference in performance. The only thing is the revs are a bit low; I believe the 9.5g rollers are a bit to heavy with the exhaust. I was searching around for a 9g set on SIP but dont seem to see any under the parts listed for my scoot. Does anyone know where I can get rollers that fit the malossi variator? also if anyone has a similar set up I could use some advice as to the weight to purchase. I will also order springs for the rear clutch, want to get the bike pulling hard or the line.

thanks for the input great thread for leaders.

The vario drives with 20x12 mm rollers.
Try and have a look at this link:

If it takes a little while until it pulls, you might think about a couple of harder clutch springs.

I have posted a question in the general section but though I may receive better response here:

I was changing the radiator fluid in my piaggio carnaby and noticed it had oil - a good bit it the fluid. The previous owner may have put oil in the radiator thinking that is where it goes. I replaced the fluid with some new fluid and checked my levels today and noticed there is a considerable amount of oil in the reservoir.

My question is has anyone experienced the same thing with leader engines? I am thinking that a gasket or seal has broken, but am not sure. If I have to change any motor parts I will install a 200cc cylinder on the bike while im in there.

any input would be great thanks.

Pman...your carnaby has a little problem at the cilinder head.you lose oil from engine in wather.check oil color or level.the engine oil if is with water has the hot-chocolat color :) .it think in winter time you or the ex owner keept the scoot without antifreeze and the cilinder head is broken.if the cilinder head is ok, check cilinder and the little "pills" from cilinder head.is`s al round little thing hidden in the back of camshaft.if this little thing is broken, you may lose water in oil and oil in wather.
PS: the gasket may be a problem too
PS2: sorry for my english...in school i was drunk or absent at english hours...shame on me

Allso:
Tjeck if there is bubbles in the water when the engine is rewing.

My bet is allso a head gasket. Otherewise something is broken

that is a great looking rear shock. how does it behave/performs comparing to RS24/10

and where can i get more information?

thank you

Great Looking Runner !
