P.S. That does remove the immobiliser BTW (Wich allows you to change lockset and keys)

I have a piaggio carnaby 125 and am a little dissapointed with the performance of this bike compared to my honda sh 125 (carb) which has polini variator and clutch; So I have ordered a variator and leo vince exhausts so that it will have a bit more performance. I was searching online for the correct gap for the valves but am unable to find the right measurement. Does anyone know what gap to use for the valves? Also does the malossi cdi make much of a difference in performance? I am interested mainly in acceleration.

A good advice conserning a lot of things on scooteres.
If you seach for information on settings or on how to do stuff to your engine.

You can go to malossi.com and find manuals for the things of interest.

f.x. the valvesettings on the leader engine. They can be found in the manual under leader cylinders, leader valves and leader cams.

This does not have to be true.
You can use either the one with, or without immobiliser. It does not matter which one. The only difference for the one WITH immobiliser is that it makes the LED on your dashboard blink :P
The immobiliser function does not work with the malossi CDI. That's why you can change your lockset.
 
Pin assignment is different, so the Malossi CDI for models without immobiliser doensn´t work plug & play on scooter with immobiliser. You need to change 3 cables from wiring harness ;)

I`m asking you that because my camshaft malossi came without a "malossi" inscription on it and i`m suspecting them for some tricks...
I think they sell 200 cc stock camshaft as a "tuning" one...

p.s.: @scorp, regarding installing the 4t engine on the 2t engine, pls also check that the frame as the seat for the secondo shock absorber. only the latest 2t frame have the frame already modified for using the second shock, which is suggestable to install if you use the 4t engine.
