keep you guys updated

setup will be then

malossi v4 head + malossi powercam
quasar cilinder 75mm bore x quasar crank 63mm stroke = 278cc
malossi cdi
malossi mhr vario
unknow open exhaust (was mounted when i bought it)
phf34mm carb + open filter
original clutch with tighter springs and torsion controller mounted

I hope this will bring me above the 25 rwbhp

astra: die nokkenas gaat niet werken i.c.m. die cilinder. Je kleppen zullen tegen de zuiger slaan.

Does anyone have any experience with the 210cc malossi cylinder? The chain tightener inside the cilinder looks like it will force the chain to go sideways, it does not fit nicely in the cylinder.

Currently working on Zip 125 with malossi 210 cylinder, V4 head and power cam.
Head looks nice, but finish is just as good as the standard head because it's made in the same factory.
I will post a picture of the head if I have the time to take a picture of it today.

To assembly the Malossi head with the 250-300 cc original cylinder, it will be necessary to slightly machine the piston’s valve area to avoid valve
collision and to lower the original cylinder by 0.5 mm to restore the original compression ratio (Fig. 9).
ATTENTION: After modifying the piston, proceed with an assembly test.
Manually rotate the crankshaft to determine if the piston collides with the valves.
Note: It is advisable to place a small piece of moulding putty on the piston crown to determine the piston/valve clearances.
Use new original gaskets with the same original thicknesses.

Today I have been working with the malossi cylinder head. I made some pictures for you all to enjoy.

Please keep this tread english.

Thanks for the pictues. It looks like you have quite a nice projekt there. I am looking forward to hear about poweroutput on that engine.

sorry velo, we will

Remy i've added your link in my favorites, i will contact them when i got the stuff.

What do you think velo?
robinnn said that the 300 conversion won't go along with the v4 head incl malossi powercam.
i've posted some pic's of the adjustment that should be made on the piston using "STANDAARD" cam.
I believe that even when the piston still hits the valve after this ajustment, the piston still would have enough "flesh" to go a little deeper and so prevent that the piston wil hit the valves.

I certainly hope so, astraopc. It is also my plan to go for a 300cc kit + V4 Head and Malossi Cam.

If the engine is ready, I will post some new pictures and poweroutput if measured.

Also i have an engine 244cc(piaggio) from Aprilia atlantic 250 and is with carb..Can i put the crank 63mm from an engine which is injection?

Hi Aris.
You can't exchange the cylinders for different strokes.

If you have 48.6 stroke you will have to choose from:
Air Cooled 125, 150, 190, or 200cc
Liquid Cooled: 125, 180, 200, 210
If you have 60 stroke:
Liquid Cooled: 244 or 269 (which isn't really 269)
If you have 63 stroke you can only use the original 278cc cylinder.

If you have a 60mm stroke and want more cc's the cheapest is the malossi cylinder. Otherwise go for the 63mm crankshaft AND 278 (75mm) cylinder.

If you combine a long stroke cylinder with a short stroke crankshaft, you will loose too much compression.
If you combine a short stroke cylinder with a long stroke crankshaft, your piston will hit the head.

I haven't tried it yet. But I have seen some with only 1 shock and they didn't fall apart <]

Hi Velo, firstly congratulation for your runner and all the modifications you've done! i've seen really great jobs on your topic!

Just want to let you know that it's no problem to use only 1 shock on the 4t runner, i've raced one year on karting tracks with one vxr200 (of course completely modified) and just one shock.
lately i've installed a second shock because it gives me the impression of a little more stable rear when accelerating out from slow turns.

however 1 shock it's fine, just do no remove the support on the right which links the rear wheel to the engine on the right: that's too important for the stifness of the rear of the bike! but i guess u knew it already!

I wonder if chrish still hangs around here.

I've a question which i'd like 2 ask him

he earlier mentioned that he had Used a 125cc flywheel which was 700gr

Or do you mean the flywheel? its also from a 125cc engine and wight only 700gr

But as a read on sip-scooter
you will need the flywheel of the LEADER 200cc engine for a conversion of the 125cc engine as well as the 125cc primary fixed sheave for the conversion of the 200cc engine

so let me get this straight, i've got a vxr 180 engine (upgraded 125cc)
so I need the flywheel of a 200cc

But why it doesn't make sence, because of the weight, is the crankshaft some how out of balance ?

does anybody know the weight of a 200cc flywheel ?

Also this isn't mentioned on scooter center, so is it a MUST, because otherwise your engine may fail

Or is it just a moneyspending kind of thing?

hope hearing from you guys
