hello. this is my scooter. gilera runner vx with a couple modifications on engine.
engine is a factory 125cc.
on engine are: malossi camshaft + malossi springs + tuned head (extended and polished channels)
200cc OEM
carburetor from older model vxr (walbro 33)
modified transmission and polini secondary drive (gearbox)
open exhaust system
scooter is went very well, engine is turned on 11000rpm and then the crankshaft is broken
here is a one video and some pictures when the scooter was in one piece

YouTube- Runner VX - 145kmh

so i decide to put a new engine, master 500 with electronic injection

a lot of time i asked a 500 engine with complete electrical instalation when i found a little crashed x9 500 from 2004 year. scooter was complete so I bought it.

front suspension goes on runner frame. should have some modifications
original vx vs. new made vs. original x9 500

triangle runner vs. x9

complete front fork

brakes x3

cooler x9 500 vs. runner

and i made a engine holder because I had to run the engine to see if good or not

electric scheme

and instalation

installations connected to the engine and cooling and is ready for ignition

and a clip from first start

front suspension placed on frame

I made a desk where I work on a scooter

looks verry verry nice man, love to see when its done, and make a video again
i like the black bodywork as well!
good luck with the build of this lovely machine!

A lot of thought seems to be going in to this. Nice to see that you are reinforcing everything and not just slamming on a big engine.

I'm curious about the results in power and driveability. Good luck!

i'm not into 4strokes but project is really nice. i cannot wait to see the results when its finished. how do you think it will go when done and what will the h.p. be. also can you tell me the measurements of that 500cc radiator.

if it's the new 500cc engine it will give about 40hp at the rearwheel.
but be carefull if you're gonna take the engine apart, some parts cannot be installed without special piaggio tools, and the torques of variator and cilinder are extremely important.
I have worked a few times on these engines, so if you need specific questions
i can answer them proberbly.

Good luck en drive fast:W

no need to take apart, engine is in very good shape

@ Rydah1 - tell you when I measure

What a nice project.
Looking Awesome. BIG 4 strokes rule!
I am looking forward to see how this project turns out

absolutely love your project. been looking closely at the pictures and have a lot of respect for the way your working!

do you have any plans for the looks of it?

grtz Ken

I just wait to see the beast on the street.
Good luck with your project!!!

I've been thinking of doing the same, but as i see how much work it is.
Then i'm glad i didn't.
Great respect and keep us updated

i have bought suspension from honda nsr 125 and rear bridge from derbi gp1 250 so that they can put a mono shock absorber

I take apart first the shock absorber to a refresh him little

rear shock is in very good condition

Then the bridge
i must expand him so wheel can enter inside with tyre
