Hi, I bought a 100cc minarelli type horizontal motor for my honda ruckus. My goal is to build a bike with overall good accel and top speed. is this possible or do I have to lose one for the other? I need to choose a carb and an exaust to get it running and I have no clue on what exhaust and carb to get. Please help.

not only it is possible to build an engine with both acceleration & top speed, it has been done again & again. it is simply a matter of tuning skill, how adept are you at 2stroke scooter tuning?

I have never owned or tuned a 2 stroke but here in hawaii we have some really good tuners. im just looking for a base point before i go and get some help. My real question is that there arent that many exhaust options for the 100cc motor. I know that some of the 70cc exhaust can fit but will it work properly. I read a thread bud it was dated back to 2002 so hopefully in 6 years someone has done some extensive testing and found out what works. Thanks again
