Does anybody know the concept for Dunlop 10" Racing Tires.
1. Do you use the 90/80-10 in the front & the 90/90-10 in the rear?
or
2. Do you use 90/90-10 in the front & rear?

For circuit racing we are using 3.00x10 Front and 90/90-10 Rear Dunlop TT91GP.
The front is much more stable with the 3.00x10 than 80/90-10.

Dunlop does not make a 3.00x10 front racing tire TT91GP.

What about the 12 inch tires that they've made?

They have odd sizes, compared to the standard tires on a Runner - Would they even be good for racing in those sizes?

Hello Speed
in england we only have 10" 350 widely available but the odd team import them in different sizes.
we use them front and rear the rear works good as it aids ground clearance stops the cases and the exhaust from grinding down be careful with pressures they make all the differance approx 18psi front and 24 psi rear but temperature testing with a laser will find you optimums from track to track
there available as a malossi part in 350 10 and these im sure will be the genuine made in japan tyres, some have been sold which are made by hfr(duro) for dunlop and although im yet to test them dont think theyll be as good they look and feel different to the japan ones
still love the sava,s much more than the dunlop and dont know if your aware but we,ve now got some slick sava,s to test

As far as I can remember take both, or just the 2x the smallest one.
Not entirely sure though.

Yes they do make 3.00x10 TT91 GP, by the way for what rim are you talking about? for zip i know only 3.50x10 TT91GP, For the aprilia sonic they did produce i think 100/90 or 80 -10.

Right now i do have in stock all the 4 sizes, 80/90-10, 3.00x10, 90/90-10 and 3.50x10 all dunlop TT91GP Made in Japan

I just went to Dunlop's web site. They only list;

1. (3258-57) 80/90-10 - TT91GP Front
2. (3258-59) 90/90-10 - TT91GP Rear

I do not know were you are getting these 3.50x10 or 3.00x10 from. There still is not a part number provided for these size tires.
I will just order 90/90-10 for the front & rear. These tires are for my shop. We use Sava's. They grip better for a 10" rim. We also have the "New" Sava's Slick 10" tires for the Zip's as well. Our container has not arrived yet so we have not tested them either. Please let me know your findings. The compound is supposed to be different. They said it will have better grip & it will last longer.

are you from this planet? :?

everybody races with these tyres
@ ISC they are obligated

i give up..
I can see that you are not a contender in track racing by your answer. I want you to answer this question Mr. bright guy.

Question: Why does a MANUFACTOR give speed ratings on their tires? What is the purpose for this? This tire is rated at 62mph.

I am waiting for you answer.

if you look at regulations for ISC 2005 , you can see that those tyres were obligated.

I dont know why the producer put's those max speed.. but it's one of the best possible tyres to race with (speeds up to 110 MPH)

in all european championships, more then 70% off the drivers use these tyres..
(never seen one collapse because of speed)

The online product catalogue says:
Front: 100/90-12
Rear: 120/80-12

Standard tires are:
Front: 120/70-12
Rear: 130/70-12

I've ordered 2 set of tires, and then I'll have to test it before I can give any answe about how it runs.

Thank you kindly for the information on the 3.50x10 dunlop tire, but its speed rating is very low for the speeds we are getting. I do not think this tire would be a good choise for track racing here.

I've raced with the TT91 last october at the Adria raceway in Italie during the ISC.
In my best lap my top speed was 143 km/u, thats for sure above the 62 mph. })

Speaking of speed ratings, is there a link to a chart or table explaining the ratings and numbering systems on the sidewall? I just picked up a set of Michelin Pilot Sport SC tires, 120/70-12 and 130/70-12 and there are a few numbers on the sidewall that I don't understand what they mean. Thanks.
