2003 zuma & 2002 malaguti firefox question

are both tranny's & belts the same ? i want to upgrade the variator, rollers & torque springs & kevlar belt like my buddy did on his 2003 zuma. thanks guys

no. I believe the belt lengths are different, and maybe some other variances. You can buy parts for your Malaguti that are equivalent of those on the Zuma (ie. Malossi makes Multivars and Overranges for both models).

They should be the same variator, springs and belt. I've swapped parts back and forth between those two engines no problem. The only differences would be in the gearbox. The horizontal cylinder zuma is unique.

the zuma tranny such as variator , clutch assy, bell , center springs , rear pulley is same as firefox...belt of zuma is longer than that of firefox , if firefox has overrange variator and rear plulley then zuma belt would fit in...they are both minarelli engine, its just that firefox is coded MA/MY and zuma is a CY engine..(correct me if am wrong )
