It's heat isolation tape for the exhaust to keep it at a higher temperature. Higher temperature = more performance

100 euro for this tape is a good joke!

A complete ceramic coating cost the same!

Very good...but destroys the exhaust if you use it in everyday or damp conditions.
I had it in my 4-2-1 manifold in my car and it rusted stainless steel in 2 years time.

well, you can try Aluminum foil from your mom's kitchen..

and peal it off when it gets to hot? The wrap stuf u can change the lenght, thickness and so the temp.

Maybe a bunch of pot holders? welding blanket material? any other type of non flammable insulation should work (if thats what you want to do). There are gains to be had, but not that much.
