Painting the inner panels on a SR

TangoSR

Darksider SR
Hi I'm new here, I have looked through the optic forum and come across how to paint an SR WWW, I can understand most of it just by looking at the pictures, but I would like to know how the guy painted the rough panels..eg:
Did he use just primer?
Did he sand the roughness back?
any translation would be very appreciated.
I myself have an Aprilia SR, the only panels I have left to paint are...
The inner leg sheild
The footplate plastics
and the panels just above the footplate that cover the battery.
Thanks

Actually, all these things you mentioned are used. (in any combination).

Some just paint right over the textured plastic.

What most do is use some compound like polyesther to smooth it out. You can even create your own shape(s). Then when it's hardened, sand it and repeat if needed, untill you're happy with the result.
Then after degreasing it and preferably primed, it can be painted.

To finish it off and make it shiney, spray a couple of layers of transparent laquer over it. This also protects the paint.
