Starting problems

Alright for the most part I can start my bike by a simple tap of the electric and a small twist of the throttle but every now and again I try to start and it doesn't. I will sometimes get so low on battery that it needs to get kicked and then After several kicks and persuading (Moving up and down with the gas as it weaves in and out of ignition to get it going. I'm hoping that this ins't from it getting to warm.

I just realized Someone before I had the bike removed at least the exhaust restriction and I'm not sure if they re jetted Also from a moderate 5 minute 3 and a half mile or so drive should I be getting as hot as my muffler contracts and twists alot letting enough heat out that it warms the floor where it is sitting on the center stand and make the tire "hot" to the touch?
