Dragscooter test runs

Come over to Holland and try the 150m ;) it's great to see how they build a machine in you country. I like this

thanks dude. :)

well i would like to go to Holland of i could, if you could shoulder all the expenses then we would be very glad to go there. :D

i'm afraid 150m is quite short a distance for our setup & eversince dragracing was introduced into our country by the Americans it was & always will be 400m.

Damn tiba, you have done very well in the competition over there..

I've always said your machine was really nice, en you just keep over doing yourself.

I've heard some spec's from Robert (inimoek), and it sounds real nice!!

thanks dude. :)

hey tiba if they ever start racing 1/4mile in holland i think it would be a very good idea for everybody to chip in on the "TIBA TO HOLLAND FUND". i will start out with the 1st $100 when that starts. i would love to see how your bike does against those guys because i know it would do very good.

I don't know why they race at 150 m, everywhere in the 1/8 and 1/4 mile is the common!!

here's a couple of testruns i've made yesterday & today;

the MHR Team 70cc engine is fitted to another frame which is a bit shorter & lighter than the other one, hopefully all goes well & you'll see 2 Overrev tuned dragscooters on the upcoming races.

here's more videos of this afternoon's series of testruns, all i can say is we are moving forward with the development of the new setup. :)

btw i am the guy on the left side timing the scooter, hope you enjoy them as much as i have.

What's your time you driving there?

my quickest time at the moment is 12.25 @ 400m (unofficial) but i am only in the average times my previous engine setup did before i changed a lot of things, my goal is to break into the 11's so even an 11.9 i would be very very happy. best ET with the original setup was 12.06.

this was the old engine setup;

MHR Team Speed 6T '99 (tuned)
MHR Team Crank 2000
MHR inner rotor ignition 2005
MHR VL14 membraanblok (tuned)
Yasuni C21 (tuned flens)
MHR Overrange kit 2000 (tuned)
MRD intake manifold (tuned)
OKO PWK28 carb (tuned)

this is the new engine setup, still working out the bugs;

MHR Team Speed 6T '99 (same as above)
MHR Team Crank 2000
PVL digital inner rotor ignition (niuwe)
Moto Tassinari VF3 membraanblok (niuwe)
Yasuni C21
Polini Super Speed 9 Evo vario (niuwe)
MHR OR 128mm rear pulley (tuned, niuwe)
KOSO intake manifold (heavily tuned, niuwe)
Keihin PWK28 carb (niuwe)

the new setup has a lot of promise i just need more time dialing, the acceleration from takeoff isn't as quick as the old engine but the new engine makes up for it with a very strong topend, maybe it's just the clutch (old & very worn) or the mainjet still a bit lean (did a plugchop after every run) but we will get there or die trying.

we will also test the XSH DPR C30 pipe from the 2Fast engine to see how well will it do, our new 2Fast pipe along with some special TRT tuned parts will be arriving from MT in a couple of weeks, i can't wait. :D

btw i forgot to add the carters are heavily tuned, it took me weeks to finish it (no kidding), this is nothing like what you have seen here in the forum.

Well, if we haven't seen it yet on the forum, wouldn't it be rather mean of you not to let us? (joking) ;) Got a pic?

I do understand if you don't want to show it though, especially if it gives you a good edge in your racing. You've certainly got my curiosity up though!

it is so secret i forgot to take a picture of it, i have come across a very technical subject about crankcase volume & it's effects plus what things to change in the cilinder to get the most out of it.

it took days before all those super technical terms sunk in so know i have a better understanding of how it works, i am concentrating on carter tuning to get more power before i delve into the cilinder, this is the 3rd time i tuned my carter, the 2nd time was a failure, it performed worse than the 1st time so the 3rd time is better than the 2nd but i still have to dial-in the new set-up but things are looking up with this one, it could be just as good as the 1st time or (i hope) even better.

as soon as i get some jets & tune the vario we will resume testing, with the old setup the 140 jet was the perfect size but with the new carter tuning & VF3 reedvalves my plugchops revealed a slightly lean condition (very light tan) so it's obvious the crankcase, reedvalve & intake manifold is flowing more air.
