Carbs and AC engines

I have recently been told not to bother putting a bigger carb on my zip any ideas if he is talking out of his bottom? he reckons there no good on air cooled engines!
mine is currently a 17mm

what is the rest of your setup... big carbs are most used on high rpm cilinders

i saw u have an mhr replica and 17,5mm carb

Thats ok but 19mm would improve performance, and I'd try a Yasuni R exhaust or sth instead of a ZX

the combination of this carb and exhaust would surely give a great progress in overal performance.

A carb also brings cooling to the engine, what can be very important on a AC engine. At least go for a 19mm.
