Hello dutch scooter freaks,

I would like to show you my Piaggio Zip Dragster Mutation. Maybe you know it from different german scooter sites.

Frame, Suspension & Setup:

Piaggio Zip Frame, modified
Piaggio Zip FR fork, modified
125 ccm Runner engine with 150 ccm Hexagon cylinder, tuned
Malossi Maxi MHR Pipe
25er Dellorto PHBH
Malossi Multivar
Original clutch and bell, modified
Stage 6 double layer filter
looong wheelstand :)
Nato oliv green paintjob
....

But pictures are better than words, so:

I bought a naked frame in June 2004

We build our own subframe, a little bit longer than the original one ;-)

The storrage for the winter months

First time on the road in spring 2005

I build a special adapter for the fork, because the newer forks don´t fit in the older Zip frames

In summer, it was ready for first engine tests

Destroy your tire, its fun !!!

My special Rear brake system :)

Please use the latest Quicktime Player for it.

Over the summer I changed the carburettor a few times until i found the perfect 25er Dello.

I will show you the new engine and everything else in the near future in this thread.

Please write your answers in english or german, my dutch is very bad ;-)

So on.

Looks cool, special the matt paint.

People dont use those 180cc pia engines here, the 70/80cc bikes own them +pippi+

Hi,

the setup in your profile sounds interesting.

Maybe you can send me some detailed pictures from your Zip.

My E-Mail:

markus@ported.de

Thx.

I will send you some pic, next week, cause my digit cam is wrong! However my bike is disgusting, I didn't paint my custom exhaust so it's rusty and the frame too :):)

And I make a custom made centered cylinderhead this week with 1:13 compression ratio, so I will take a picture of it!

The optic tuning will be the next step, but not in the immediate future!

You can find very old photos here:

Maybe, but i like my engine because of the massive torque at lower rpm. In german: "Es drückt gut!" :)

I joined a scootermeeting in Meinerzhagen/Germany yesterday and took some nice pictures.

Enjoy :)

Many thanks too my driver, the italian jockey !

Greetings

Markus

I found some nice Webspace - thanks to SIROC.de

So here are two little Quicktime Movies from the Meinerzhagen meeting

1. Sprint against a 172 Malossi Runner

Klick

2. Against a german CPI frame with XSH tuned Stuff

Klick

My driver lost only against the Scooter-Attack 2fast sprinter.

Nice videos! :) I think if you make some little modificatio you will easily beat a 2fast bike!

Do you know this bike?

I know about this sprinter only from pictures.

But i know the owner, he got several projects in the past. It is such a "Daddy pays everything" guy, expensive parts without end, but only little sucess.

"Daddy pays everything"

Ohh:(

I will post you some pic about my new cylinder head modifications at thursday or friday!

Nice stuff :)

Is it possible to buy one from you ?

How big is the compression ? Bigger than the PM-Billet Head ?

I don't know the PM tuning cylinder head very well, so I don't know how much is it's compression ratio. My cylinderhead has a +-13:1 compression ratio with 0,9 mm squish!

It will be very expensive to you, cause you have to send me your cylinder head and your head cover, and then I send it back, so you pay 2 shipping +converting!

Hi,

watch out, here comes an update.

The winter will leave us soon (i hope) so it´s time to start into the new season.

I´ve done most of the optical work over the winter. The new engine will be ready soon.

Here are some pictures from the first meeting of the year, the Scooter-Custom Show from Scooter-Attack in Saarbücken, Germany.
