Unless you have previous knowledge on porting, I would not mess with the porting as you could ruin your cylinder. As for the carter tuning, take a look under project pages and you can get an idea how it is done. Everyone has to start somewhere, so if you were serious about doing it yourself, practice on a spare peice of aluminium to get the feel for the tool and how it works.
Again, its best to send your cyl away to be ported unless you have had much experiance.
