Piaggio AC cooling

Hi Guys
I have a 2002 Zip I was wondering about adding a ducted air intake to the fan housing so it sticks out of the side of the bike so the air is forced in as well as sucked in, do you think this is a good idea or will it cause more problems??

It won't cause any troubles, it's just useless. There just ain't much things you can do to improve the cooling. One option may be to remove the "horizontal bars" in the fan housing.

Cheers Im running a 70cc MHR kit so i was just wondering wether it would help, My Zip doesnt have the bars it has plastic circles.

Well, just modify it so that you create one big hole You can see pictures of the idea on my scooterbase (when that site's working)...

to improve cooling on AC set-ups apply a coat of high temp engine enamel spray paint (VHT). look for a flat black color as this improves the heat dissipation than an uncoated cilinder & head.
