Im new in this forum and i would like to introduce myself and my scoots!

Im 19years old and i live in finland. I have been dealing with scooters since 2005 when i bought my kymco super 9 ac ->

My Twins Left one was my ex at that time, the right one was my "new" project.

Duck at his new owner, who kept it like shit.. Got my heart broken..

So thats the story of my first original "duck" bws..

Then came the second duck witch i bought for 100euros, and it had been outside whole winter and it was in really poor condition. Sold it unfinished but got the engine running.

Fines for tuning mopeds over 30mph can cost me 300 to 400euros.

Sr:s setup will be

- Tecnigas rs 70
- Polini speedcontrol
- Hebo r clutch
- Polini cultch bell
- 17.5 dellorto carb
- Barkit 70cc alu ( got it cheap from easyparts.nl )
- Modified stock airfilter

Later coming up

- Longer gearing from horizontal? minarelli engine (yamaha neos)

Some say that horizontal? minarelli engines have 7% longer gearing than vertical minarelli engines?

- Ssp "monster" 260m Oversized disc
- New intake manifold (hebo big valve)
- New rear shok
- Repair front forks (leaking oil)

Thats my short story and im hopig to get some new ideas and friends from this forum!

I know it is not the "best" setup, but in everyday use its more reliable.

And its better than stock setup.

Race setup is quite shitty in a everyday use. :7

Lots on maintenance and so on.

If someone likes charity i can give my bank account number?

I must admit that poverful midrace/race setup are lots of fun. But the costs just dont fit my budget YET. Gotta pay the rent and so on 8P

Maybe after the army when i get a real job. I could consider better setup or building another engine.

Another casing is on its way maybe and im plannig to make it a second engine set for sr or other scoot if i get on in the future?

Few days ago, i bought littlebit used hebo R clutch and new stock reed casing.

Small modification coming up to the reedlimiter and also gonna change the reeds.

Painter broke his finger or something like that. 1 week delay wiht the rims. In the end its not so bad considering that, how long does easyparts take with the parts that i ordered.

Hate ordering anything from there, cant see the stock and ordering times can be very long 1week to 4weeks!

Im very curious about the barkit alu cylinder witch i bought from the easyparts discount. More story coming about it also when i get the order.

Tomorrow, gotta fetch the dellorto 17,5 phva carb from the post office and Yamaha Slider:s airfilter box with malossi redsponge.

Gotta keep the noise down from the carb thats why im gonna get the stock airfilter box. And all this for pleasing the police

Biggest problem right now is the casings.

This was not a pleasent surprise... Ex owner has tryed to weld it allready once. But the welder has seemed to be a noob

Quite common problem in yamaha scooters. Weak point.

But luckyly the the crack has not reached the camshaft.. :X

I'll try to give first aid to the crack with metallic spackel, until i get a new casing(s).

The rox went to inpound because it had no registerplates (plates at home) and the frame numeber was missing too. Cops tought that rox was stolen, but my friend littlebrother was driving it.

And the cops said to my friend big brother that :

"YOU WILL NOT BE DRIVING THIS MONSTER TO HOME FROM THE INPOUND"

When the cop pulled over my mate, he asked that how fast does this scoot go?

mate : 115km/h is the best with this setup.

cop : i dont belive you, let me try.

The cop took his first testdrive and came back smiling

cop : ill take few more testings <]

The cop took 4 times a joy ride with the rox

cop : The brakes and chassis are very nice! Fastest scooter what i have ever driven. Sad but true this scoot is illegal.

Today i got my 17,5 phbn dellorto carb and yamaha sliders airfilter box with malossi redsponge filter.

Does anyone know where i can see somekind of translation for the phbn part of the carb?

I know that they mean different spesifications of the carb but i would like to know spesificly that what does every letter mean. :!

Still waiting my rims from the painter.. Gonna get them next week hopefully.

But the color of the rims are the same as my other friends rox. I helped him rebuilding it last winter ->

The orange looks very nice to my own eyes, polishing is for poor people

The color is really more like in the first pic. Camera adjusting littebit crap in this pic.

Rear rim center where the axel nut comes is going to be polished maybe. If im lazy, i'll just paint it black.

The barkit cylinder kit came WITHOUT cylinder head! |(

This was the product info foto and there was no information that the kit comes with different piston and cylinder head does not include. Quite pissed right now.. :X

My mate will sell me a s6r cylinder head. As soon as he gets back from his trip. Hopefully i'll get it cheap..

The barkit piston needs some finishing (littlebit porting). ->

Should i take the whole edge off from the piston? Mixture flow would be much better after that?

Must be somekind of trick in here.. :X I know that the rings are different type of metal(softer/harder), but wich one i put up and down?

hi mate the picture that you have ordered is very very different to what you have been ordered

if you look at the piston the picture is a singly ring and your is a twin

how did you get on with the camplant?

also if you look at th picture that was on the web site you can see the cylinder has got a exhaust bright which mean it is full race not mid race

if you what more people to look at you project page put some more picture of you other project at the start (top of the page) at the moment it looks like a lot of writing and no pictures just links

i see you have made a nice looking tph put some picturs of saying it is your old project or something

But they havent replyed yet, that how long do i have to wait for the cylinder head..

Next week gotta build the engine back with stock parts :|

Maybe ill fech a new stock piston+gasket set and piston needlering for ~ 30euros on monday.

Gotta clean/polish the combustion chamber also just for fun :#

Feeling quite lost riding with my bicycle and busrides are quite shait with these weathers, thats why buildin back with stock engine, until i get my cylinder kit and all other parts complete!

The thp is my old project witch im planning to rebuy back to my self.

Missing it so, and sold it unfinished. :love:

Piaggio engines are really nice with perfomance and part availability! :winner:

The place where i place my pics is a website called bikepics.com. And now it seems that their hard drive has failed. Sorry for the loss of pics!! The scooter base is quite complicated site to use, ill try to learn it some day. The sr is now in running condition! Started it yesterday and had little problems with the cylinder gasket surface. But i remounted the cylinder head and the problem got solved! Luckyly the gas/preassure leak was noisy, so it was easy to locate. I replyed the pm! Pop up bloker makes it hard to notice pm:s

Yesterday got the engine running.

Small fighting with the mainjets and choke. But now the carb is in quite good settings.

Today installed the hebo clutch and red malossi contra spring. The Hebo clucth came with stiffer clutch springs. (red)

The variator needs more adjusting. Lighter weights and so on.

Installed also a malossi kewlar belt

I dont know what to think about the perfomance im getting now. Feels a bit lazy, maybe too heavy weights.

The exhaust also feels a bit crap? My old bws had yasuni z, with polini 70cc kit. It felt much more poverful? Maybe gotta get a new exhaust later 8P

Yesterday spent about 6hours with sr and today another 7hours to get it on the streets. :Z Quite tired and happy right now. :z
