Hey homies, I'm in the states and am having a very hard time finding a replacement belt for my malossi 2000 over range. Anyone know the actual belt dimensions so I can find another. I can't find the malossi belt anywhere, thinking maybe by now someone knows a gates # for an alternative...

Italjet Drag. Lemme check Provo. Though they are expensive. My main point is... It's a v belt. So there should be a bando or gates dementional alternative. Or damn close to it.

seriously, all the minarellis out there and the only belt in the whole world that will work for the over range is the malossi?

Dude! Buy the damn belt and go ride. Have fun and you'll forget the money in a week! Then when you have the Malossi in hand, measure it before you use it and take joy in knowing that your next one will be cheap. And then.....send me the measurements LOL. Just Playin!

okay, when you find a place that has it let me know. thats my point. No one has it in stock. im having a hard time finding it even over seas. and that just sucks. i have two, both are worn fairly well, i want a new one. sure when i have a new one i can take the measures etc, hm.... anyone have a new one sititng around wanna give me mm measurements.

if it's an OR belt for the mina we have an alternative belt for it made by Bando, it's a bit longer than the Malossi OR belt which is perfect for my setup but the problem is i live here in the Philippines.

the scooter that it came from is an SYM Jet100 scooter.

yes tiba, do you have the bando measurements fromt the belt. perhaps the bando # maybe i can find the belt here stateside. im telling you everywhere here in the states does not have it or its back ordered. damn malossi for being so secretive!!!!!!!

sorry for the long wait, i was out of town.

the measurements are as follows;

length 769mm

width 17.5mm

angle 28

this is our alternative belt for the Malossi OR belt for minarelli, we can buy 4 of these belts for the price of 1 Malossi OR belt. best of all this belt lasts longer than the Malossi kevlar, pretty good for a nylon ply belt.

btw just a heads up when you're installing this belt, you'll need to grind the crankcase under & over where the rear pulley is for extra clearance with the longer belt.

the belt will sit beyond the confines of the rear pulley which will make the effective diameter bigger than 128mm, i estimate mine to be at 132 to 134mm with the longer belt which gives a lower gear ratio at slow engine speeds.

when i ran this setup at a big track i'm running out of gear with an 11,2:1 FR so i'm going to install a taller gear to counter this.

i don't have a paypal account, i can get a quote on how much shipping will cost to the USA from the local post office + the cost of 2 belts. i'm busy in the shop at the moment & racing season is on right now so free time is kind of tight right now.

Thank you Tiba, whenever you can just let me know, pehaps I can just mail money order to you, or you could get me in touch with a shop so I can pay via credit card or something. My overrange belt shredded to bits this past weekend during Amerivespa rally. :(
