Hi all im new hear and new to scootering made a post yesterday but don't seem to be getting response. i am looking for a little more out of my scoot for daily commute . i have a kymco super 9 ac 50cc. i instaled a leo vince ex. with rollers that came with it and really like the improvment over stock . Just looking for advice as to where to go from here. i.e. what type variator and or spring? should i change the tourqe drive?what about the clutch should i get new or change springs ? should i have to change jets in the carb if so i don't know what the stock jet is or what to change it to any advice from you all would be of great help Thank you and stay safe.

I'm not sure about the kymco's
and i aint sure about the fact if they do that stuff outside of the netherlands but you could try you're variater ring (not sure if it's there)
But it also limit's you're top speed.
Else you could just go and buy a new Clutch and/or a Variater and if u wanna get a fast pull away try a bigger carburetar.
And yeah if you do stuff like that you will have to change jets and maybe rollers/springs.

I don't know if you've seen my Super 9 or not, but I'm building a pretty nice one. I put together these instructions for de-restricting the stock AC super 9: http://www.scooterinvasion.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1147

You can install a different variator and try different roller weights and spring combinations to see what works best. There are not as many parts available for our scooters, but they're very strong bikes and they have a lot more tuning potential than most people realize.

My engine:

I'm not done with the engine yet. I still have to port the cylinder and do a few other things both performance and style related.

Thanks for the replys i live in the states and use the pc here at work so we are on a diffrent time slot. i've allready de-restricted the scoot and put on a leo vince ex. but have not changed the jets i am going to buy a new variator probaly a malossi as they seem to be the better ones .i'll also try a new jet and go from there . any sugestions as to what weight to put in for best ride mainly just back and forth to work.

I'm in North Carolina. With stock airbox you'll want to go to at least an 83 main jet, possibly a little higher. Weights are going to vary a bit, but I recommend the higher RPM clutch springs with a new contra spring, usually somewhere between 4.5 and 6 grams is the range for the right weights with a pipe, etc but you'll need to change CDI or the bike will want to rev higher than the ignition system will allow.

Where are you in the States?
