Evo Static Compression

Just installed an Evo on my LC HMin. Static compression is 167psi, and the ring isn't even seated! Gonna be well over 170 in a few miles. I'm not used to that kind of reading. Have I done something wrong, or is that where it's supposed to be?

there is something wrong 167psi is about 11.5:1 compression ratio

you should be getting about 180 and over easily.

did u remove ur air filter when testing compression

167 is nothing should be way well over 185

Break it in and let the rings seat and everything and then when you compression test it again make sure your holding the throttle wide open. Then lets hear the new numbers.
The airfilter should not make a difference wether it is on or off and if it does then your air filter is verrrryy restrictive.

new air filter

Your definetely not gonna want a restrictive airfilter on your Evo. Those kits are made to rev high and make lots of power at high revs your gonna need as much flow as you can get!
Let me know how it goes after your done.
