Dio AF27 - Bigbore size vs crank

Hi,

I have just started building my 1st modded Dio engine AF27 (AF18E)
Question: How big can you go with the big bore kit while still using the stock crank?

From research I have done, it seems you can go up to 49mm big bore kit and still use the stock crank, is this correct?

Thanks

there used to be lots of kits sold here for the Dio ranging from 44mm to 54mm & they still used the stock stroke crank, for the 54mm to fit you'll need the crankcase bored.

the norm here is 50mm which gave you 82cc, using a 44mm crank (biggest you can fit inside stock case) will net you 86cc.

Thanks for your response tiba,

Im trying to avoid having to machine cases for a crank, your 50mm 82cc setup sounds perfect.
Also I was thinking CT manifold with 28mm OKO carb, and exhaust to suit... is this the best carb size to suit 80cc setup??

the CT manifold can only accommodate a 26mm carb, look for a PE26 keihin.

the 44mm crank i'm talking about is a bolt on fit.
