Hey, whats the best 70cc kit that will be able to withstand alot miles for on road use?

Piaggio A/C 97'

Leo vince ZX
Standard crank
etc etc

Is mhr rep the best? or something like stage6 sp ?
Cheers

i would prefer the mhr rep, whit a gianelli shot. longlasting and good acceleration. you just have to replace the pisonring and the smallend bearing each 1500 miles. and replace your speedcotrol whit a malossi mhr 2000 or polini evo.

Alu and for on the road isn't a good combination :)

the MHR repl 70cc is olso a ALU, I think that the MHR 70 repl is one of the best cylinders for the road, but quite expensive. I find it is much better than a DR 70.

He could buy a tuned DR.....133 euro.
And it will perform real nice :)

Ive had the malossi sport and im using dr evo at the minute but i want something with a bit more power...
Whats the stage6 sp like ?, because thats really cheap :)

Don't you have tuners in the UK?
The DR Evo is the most tunable kit around, you can easily get a 25-30% performance increase with some minor mods. Basically it will perform the same or better as a Stage6 kit!

It seems there's a serious lack of (cheap) cylinder tuners in countries like the UK and Germany :) Too bad, because it's usually the most cost effective solution.

So tune the DR kit, and get a real 70cc exhaust (Stage6 Pro maybe?). This will bring a HUGE performance boost, somewhere in the range of 4hp.

No, you phool
Only the Minarelli LC kit is worth mentioning, the rest is total crap. The AC Piaggio kit has a micro W shape exhaust port with an ultra low timing. It will perform worse than the DR evo70.

There arn't any specialist 50/70cc scooter tuning in the UK

There are only 2 or 3 specialist scooter tuners but they all specialise in Malossi 172 kits as they are more popular for extensive tuning over here, hardly anyone sprints 70cc's, and only a handful track race them, and they tend to use stock Malossi parts.

Do you have a tuned DR portmap?

I don't have portmaps, but I could give you detailed instructions if you're brave enough to take the task upon youself :P

Just get yourself one of these:
dremel-akkumultipro.jpg

or one of the cheaper brand-x types at the local hardware store. They're going for less than 20 quid here recently.

lifeonaplate, go to B&Q and they have a dremel type tool there for £15 which is brilliant for doing all sorts of things, comes with 100 piece set of attachments.

Also what hp would you get out of a dr70 tuned cylinder, for a minarelli lc?

After tuning your acceleration times will go down 20%..
But for a 20% decrease in time you need more than a 20% increase in power :) I never tested it on a dyno, but the result is very obvious.

This has no effect on reliability, and the gain is mostly torque and hardly more revs.
