hi guys,

i would to present you my dragster for dssc season 2009.
At first something about myself....
i'am from germany,16 years old, interested in scooters since 3 years.
This year i started for first time in the DSSC. (Stage6 SportPro,C21,Stage6 Ignition,Overrange,VHST..and other stuff).
I was happy about my E.T 7.2s last weekend in Klettwitz.(Aldenhoven 8.1 with a scooter frame,luckau 7.6,rotenburg only 7.9,because i tested some alcohol fuel)

But for the next season, i want something , which is faster =)

So i sold some old parts, my c21,old cylinder and other stuff..

The new Setup for 2009 looks...

-2Fast4Race 80cc Minarelli
-Exhaust like 2fast or Roost
-a 30 carb, but which one? have u guys a idea? (dello vhst28mm?Koso 30mm,mikuni tmx?)
-Kiesler Racing crankshaft 85mm.
-Overrange
-Stage6 Torque Control modified
-and other stuff!!!

and other specials would be..
-aluminium frame (Marvien Diehl, his cup carbon zip should be known here)
-aluminium "fork" with the scooter-attack rim and bicycle braking system
-maybe a special rear rim, fromt a atv or something like this.

here a picture from my 2008 sprintframe

so and here, some fotos from the new engine and the cylinder, which i already have at home.

looks a little bit dirt... i wait for new blasting abrasive, then i can sand blast the engine clean.

i removed some bearings.

....started to fit the engine vor overrange... its not realy flat...

f0a1d5950f4736083fb1.jpg

started to modify the engine for the 2fast cylinder and the 44mm crankshaft...on this pricture, it wasnt realy finished, i have to stop it, and go to work.

so and here now, a lot of pictures from the cylinder.

please dont look at the spacer and the studs, again i havent finished the modify for the cylinder in the engine.

at least..sorry for my bad english...its realy weak.

i hope you like this project.

maybe i can in 3-4 weaks show some pictures of the frame and new parts...

Nice project! An Mikuni TMX 30mm is a good carb, but also the Koso 30/32mm. Exhaust i would take the JS exhaust, it is by far the best exhaust for minarelli 2fast:)

nice engine, i wish you all the best.

you could try a Keihin PE30 carb, the Kehin carbs are a lot easier to tune & perform just as well as any high end flat slide racing carb at a cheaper price.

yeah thx guys for your replies!

i heard yester some negative about the koso 30/32 mm carb...

mikuni is cool..but i like keihin / dellorto carbs a little bit more, i dont know why...

what do you think about the dellorto vhst 28mm? i think, this carb is large enough?
and on my sport engine, i do a good experience with the 26mm version.

i try to post some new pictures on evening. ( yeah 2 weeks holidays now, i wrote today my last exam :) )

KOSO carbs are just poor copies of the Keihin PWK carb, nothing beats the real Keihin carbs, be it flat or round slide.

i use a Keihin PWK28 carb on our 2Fast Minarelli dragscooter (Yamaha Jog) with great results, my setup could use a bigger carb & the Keihin PE30 is definitely on my "must try" list.

my advice is just to go with the carbs you're very familiar with & i am very happy choosing both Keihin & Dell'Orto carbs, the key is to have enough jets to tune it.

PWK 28mm are easy in use, and easy in install. I use at this moment an 34mm KOSO @ mina 2fast. It is harder to get it right but it has a lot more torque and power comparing to the 28mm PWK. Without a testbench you can`t get it right that`s my opinion:)

Hehe, Heavy Tuned. Do you have also a T-shirt with HT on it? If that's so, can you get me one? Nice project en good luck.

Grtz,

thx guys ,

i think i would test a carb with 32-34 mm (on one picture you can see our dyno , we get this 5 months ago in ebay, but the neighbors here have a problem with the noise :( next year we try to get a hall )
but at first maybe i try the dellorto vhst 28mm.

today i was since 11oclock till 18oclock in the garage.
i sandblast the engine ,fit it for the 2fast, clean all threads, fit for overrange, new bolts and many more..just look..

tomorrow i maybe finish the flow and erect(rebuild) the engine (crankshaft, cylinder, piston, adjust the ignition..)

thx,

today i tried to calculate the timings of the 2fast. but i get some strange numbers.
for outlet port i get 188,5° and inlet ports 119,7° and the outer inlet ports 116,2°. this is without the 0.99mm positiv offset of the combustion chamber. are this timings right? or do i a mistake?
later i upload some new pictures

EDIT:

i recalculate with a friend.... now we have with a 0.5mm squish timings 196/130/128 ..this looks better...

those timings seem spot on, i have the same exhaust timing but a slightly higher primary transfer port timing (132), the secondary is still at 128 & boost port is at 124.

good morning xD

so yesterday i pick my crankshaft, new bearings and other stuff up... the crankshaft and all bearings are in the freezer. today i finish the fitting of the engine for 2 fast (work sind 9 o'clock xD yeah iam a nerd xD)

yesterday i beheld the koso 28mm carb in our store(Heavy Tuned). the carb is very clean processed , looks very nice....28mm,30 or 32 version? what do you think?

and the exhaust...i think, i would take the big bore roost...

so here some crazy pictures..xD

thx guys...
today i build the engine together...
new bearings, squish ist adjusted and the ignition, overrange insert..and many many more...
now i get to start the modifying of the rear wheel...maybe you can help me..i want drive rear a atv/quad tire... i saw it already on 2 scooter...one from this community.
are the some pictures how i can affix the atv tire, i have already two ideas....one is to modify an old minarelli tire on a lathe...and then affix the atv tire on this and weld it together. or make an adapter for the atv tire on a lathe..but the gearing(coggin) of the axle is a problem....
maybe you have other ideas...
but here some pictures..

good night...

Why would you drive with an Atv wheel?
It's way to heavy, with normal rims and a good tire you can get enough grip

Nice parts though:)

What kind of rear wrim did you drive DSSC 2008? It looks good enough for you sprinter combine that wrim with a good soft tire and than it wil be alright.

Good luck Greetz Fouad
