Peugeot Speedfight evo.3

keep the reinforcement pix coming. i like the idea of it, i dont want to be riding and have a case snap in half, thats very scary.

If you use the variator/engine case cover with all of the fixing screws this breaking doesn't happen!

Unfortunately it does break even with all screws in place, of course it's always better to put all the screws to make it more stiff.

Here is some extreme example of reinforcement :)

I have had some tuned 125-180cc engine, and I've also built 200 cc engine, and doesn't have any cracking.

For this type of cracking you need something else not only a powerful engine. Maybe a very intensive resonance, or extremly high load (or lot of stoppies, wheelies, off-road riding etc).

I am very interesded in how much engine cracking do you know (piaggio 125-210cc)?

I know for many examples of cracked cranckases. Of course I don't know who had how many screws fitted, what he was doing with his bike etc., because most of them I read about on other forums.
As I said I also don't know what's causing cracking, I've read that BGM cranks are dangerous because they can cause a cranckase to snap, maybe it has something with vibrations/resonance.

Here you go, few more pics:
