Yamaha xmax (YP125 R) - electrics help

Hi guys, O.K. so call me an idiot, but my battery was flat and couldn't start my scooter, so i uncouple the battery and charge it, As i am putting the battery back and hooking it up,i get a spark from the battery,a flash of the headlights and then no power at all.
I have checked the fuses including the one on the starter relay and they are all good. Something has blown somewhere but i have never worked on electrics before,so any help guys would be much appreciated.

Try with a multimeter/multitester to find the defective electrical component. Is your battery still okay?

Are you sure your fuses are still okay? Sometimes they look okay but are broken.

Are you sure you did not swapped plus and minus of the battery/leads.
