Hello everyone, I'm new on here!
Can you offer an insight to a long standing problem with my wunnerful Gilera FXR 180, 1999. Grdually got worse over some couple of years; cold start, winter or summer, it "chuggs" for about 350 metres and then WE'RE OFF!

For those 350 mtrs your sat on it like a total prat waiting for it to kick in!
I suspect the auto choke and intend taking it off and cleaning the electrical contacts and anything else that looks interesting!

The guys in the shop were'nt interested and just said they (Runners) all did it!
Thats no answer!
Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks.

Do you have the standard cylinder in use? And yeah the guys in the shop are right. All runners take some time to get off, just because the choke needs to kick in.

Yes, it's all bog standard.
Is there something I can tweak, can't have been like that from new??
(Thanks for the reply)
