Tension springs were wearing on the clutch. "Problem" is quickly resolved. Long live the Dremel! Replacing springs is now much easier!

But. Why.

Why would replacing springs be easier now? It makes no difference at all.

It used to be balanced. And the clutch shoes used to be the exact same weight. These things are quite important.

It's probably not enough weight to really matter, but still. I just don't see the point at all. What does it achieve? Your springs are not touching anymore? So?
 
i doubt the springs were wearing, they are much harder than the shoes. but it might improve the smoothness of the springs releasing and the clutch engaging when the springs are not rubbing in these grooves they made.

Thanks for your comment. Look at the message below from C-Row. That was indeed my first thought as to why I did this. The fact that replacing the springs goes smoothly is a nice bonus.
