Taking Variator off aerox

I was just wondering if i need to have the variator tool to take the variator off my aerox or can i take it off without it?

You dont need any variotool IF u have got an piston blocker.
Otherwise u ll need an vario tool or an compressor tool to open it A LA pitstop style XD
