Hello,
i wanted to change my crankshaft seals of my Peugeot Speedifhgt 3 2T AC today as I suspect that there is air getting through. I thought this was rather an easy procedure. However, it turned out that 1) the rubber of the crankshaft seals sticks to the metal behind it and 2) that the spring inside of the crankshaft seal might have loosened from the seal and got deeper in the engine (see photos). This might have happened by my attempt to remove the seal as I drilled in with a screw after unsuccessful attempts with a screwdriver and knife.
Thanks in advance!
Also, I'm quite confused because shortly behind the outer layer of the seal (after 1 mm) there was metal already and the seal seems to go around it.
