Some one with HPI Ignition 2005?

jour orginal regulator hes 2 inputs
1 for regulate the ac for the licht
2 i think a white kabel for the battery +

the best is to test on the white , en messure on the battery the13.5 volt
whitout use the licht or ather instruments

or like i say before just a diode to the batery +12V
conneck the licht also on 12v from the battery

I made some test today and I got it, the yellow wire coming from the HPI light coil goes to Rectifier module white wire.......I can't get the HPI ignition into my son's ZIP90 now be cause I'm waiting for the fan adapter....hope it arrives soon!!!

Well the main idea for the "light coil" it's not really to power my lights, it is to charge my battey a little bit, anyways I don't drive at nights, no head light is necessary...only stop light, horn, tach and some times turn signals....
 
wonder how much of that wattage your lose thru the rectifier as heat. Could you check your battery voltage at about 5000 rpms?. Just curious.
10 watts will charge at about 1 amp. 30 watts is about 2.5amps. Not much charging power but sufficient for your low drain items.
