Scooter won't start + fuel leak

Before: scooter would sputter a bit as I drove.

One day: Started in the cold, ran for a couple of minutes, then died and wouldn't start up again.

So: Followed troubleshooting steps in service manual - it suggested a clogged carburetor, dead spark plug, or perhaps a blocked fuel line. Dismantled and thoroughly cleaned carb. No change. Replaced spark plug. Started and ran for a 20 seconds and then died and wouldn't start up again. Haven't tried the fuel line yet, but noticed there is fuel leaking from the exhaust pipe.

Any suggestions?

Specs: 2005 Stella (Genuine Scooter Company), 2-stroke, 1 year old battery

Thanks. :)

Fixed!

The air/fuel mixture was too rich, flooding the engine and clogging up the spark plug almost immediately - no spark, no start.

So I adjusted the idle mixture adjusting screw on the carburetor, and replaced the spark plug and the coil. Good as gold.
