Removing weight from a standard flywheel

Has anyone ever done this before?

Maybe some drawings, or just an explanation of where and how to remove weight by removing material from the flywheel?

You can machine some material from the bottom to make it lighter. But you'll also reduce the magnetic ring, so that is a loss in spark energy.

So better leave it, the difference in gas response is minimal. Just get yourself a older type piaggio flywheel, it's lighter than the new one.

When you want a better gas response, advance the ignition point a little. Much more effective.
