Polini or Malosi Variator??

Skunky

Too old to die young
Hello everyone again!

I am considering changing the variator on my Yamaha CG50 Jog, as per previous thread advice.

Is there any advantage in The Polini variator to the Malossi variator or visa versa?

Do either of them come with the finned outer disc or is it just the weighted inner part of the assembly?

I would have thought changing both the parts from standard would be the best?

Thanks

finned outer pulley is sold separately unless you get their high end race variators but the rollers & springs that come with them would be too stiff & light for a stock 50cc engine. just get the regular Malossi Multivar kit & the finned half pulley along with a kevlar belt.

need to know more info of what else you have on your bike. If its all stock and you are just going to add the pulley, either will do. If you plann on adding more parts with time, and want to go all out. I say use the new 9 roller Polini evo pulley. The only thing is with your Jog you are limited on space and if you want to keep the starter motor. If you give more info, we can better answer your question.
Aloha
