piaggio vs minarelli

I am pretty new to mopeds. i was just wondering, what are the main differences between minarelli and piaggio? (performance, engine layout etc.)

I had them both.. But my opinion about is, that i liked the minarelli engine a lot more.
The engine characteristic of the piaggio engine could be compared like the peugeot vertical engine only with some more power.
The minarelli horizontal engine have a very good low, mid and high power. Its performs just great in every way.

If you have a minarelli you never want to going back to piaggio.

Minarelli has a worse variomatic gearbox, also because of the way the suspension is set up, you will experiance a "hop" while driving away.
