Piaggio Leader 125cc oil in radiator

I have purchased a piaggio carnaby 125cc that is approximately 2 years old. It seemed a bit down in the performance compared to the honda sh 125; which is odd considering it is supposed to be more powerful. So I have installed a new malossi variator with a leo vince exhaust and changed all the fluids.

However, when I changed the radiator fluid I noticed it had oil - a good bit it the fluid. The previous owner may have put oil in the radiator thinking that is where it goes. I replaced the fluid with some new fluid and checked my levels today and noticed there is a considerable amount of oil in the reservoir.

My question is has anyone experienced the same thing with leader engines? I am thinking that a gasket or seal has broken, but am not sure. If I have to change any motor parts I will install a 200cc cylinder on the bike while im in there.

any input would be great thanks.
