Malaguti Phantom Owners!!!

Hi guys ;-)


This is going to sound like a stupid question but,

How do I turn the hazard lights off?

I've somehow turned them on and cant for the life of me work out how to turn them off.


Also does anyone know where I can download the owners handbook? I've got the service one but it doesn't show the simple things...lol

Phantoms are usually fitted with a 'MotoGuard' alarm. One of it's features is hazard lights. If you use your direction indexer and let the turning lights (left or right) blink only once the hazard lights will go on. If you use the direction indexer again you will hear a beep and the hazard lights go off.

This is how it should work

If you don't know if you have a motoguard alarm check this:

- Is there a 'motoguard' alarm led in the speedometer?

- Disconnect the battery and connect it again after a few seconds. If you hear a 'high - low' beep your scooter is fitted with the motoguard alarm

You was correct except that to turn them off I had to quickly move the switch twice in the opposite direction.


Do you need a key fob to use this alarm?

also do you know where I could get hold of the bikes user manual (not the service one)?
