hose from cowl

I her different things about the hose coming from the cooling shroud (cowl).I know if you use a pod you don't use it anyway but is it for cold climates because it says hose optional on the genuine roughhouse.Mine got lost somehow and just wondering if running it without the hose is ok and jeting the same?Or should i block off the hole but i might run richer?

I have no idea what you are talking about, on the one hand you are talking about cooling shroud, on the other hand you are talking about fuel mixture.
Could you please explain better which hose this is or add a picture to your post?
