Carburator Tech...

Hi! I have a few questions about carburators. First of all, how do they actually work? I understand the principles of what they do and what they are used for, but how do they actually work?

How does a too big of a carburator affect performance compared to a too small one?

Also, will there be any power difference when polishing the air inlet?

its called a venturi effect
if you blow air over a liquid it will pick up little pieces of the liquid and make a liquid air mixture the carb does the same

too big a carb size and it cant fill your cylinder's volume becuase the air intake is too slow in velocity
imagine blowing out into a really large pipe the pressure wud be very low
but for a small pipe the air that comes out the other side is very high velocity
