Carb positioning on Piaggio engines

Does anybody have experience with using the short MHR manifold along with a D-slide carb (preferibly a 21mm)? I have noticed that the carb angle going into the manifold sticks up quite high, is it possible that this can cause the engine to run too rich? or is it fine? Because I have noticed the bowl is quite huge, and the petrol flow may not be affected, but not quite sure...

I still haven't see nthat probleme on a piaggio engine yet.(only with an tm24 karb)

Minarellig thought, it has been seen quite oftent.
