aprillia sr tick over problem

hey i have an aprillia Sr 00" that will not tick over, it cuts out at the traffic lights when i let go of the throttle.

I have tried readjusting the carb screws as well as the throttle cable but to no avail.
Anyone got any ideas how i can solve this???
could it be related to the solonoid on the carb??

have you changed anyhitng or put in any parts

if you have then its hard to say

was it working before properly

try the obvious things like a new plug and clean your air filter

if they dont work for you try to clean your carb.
the phb 12mm is easy to fix and work with

no new parts, air filter is clean, so is carb and the spark plug i changed aswell to see if that was the problem, but no!

Anyone else got ideas??

In my opinion it could be two things....or a clogged idle jet or the choke stays open.
Isn't the 2000 a Morini engine? Doesn't it has automatic choke system?

its the 2000 model but its the newer model( 01, 02 etc), how will i fix the problems you just mentioned.

You have to clean the carb inside and disconect the choke cable if it's automatic.
