The scooter isnt moving unless the back wheel is lifted in the air, Has anyone ever had a problem like this withe the drive belt? Thankyou

This is more likely caused by a very bad carburation, too weak clutchsprings, too heavy rollers, a bad ignition, etc..

What did you do to cause this problem?

ive been told the scooter has been getting slower up hills, so he changed this piston ring, which made no difference, but a week later the small end bearing fell apart and destroyed the cylinder, hes now fitted a new 70cc and a new carb, but now the scooter wont produce any torque, when the piston seized could it of stretched the belt?

If your belt had stretched then it would go into very high revs because the belt would slip. So no.

Because you have a new cylinder aswell as a new carburator, you need to rejet your carburator and after that adjust your rollers and springs. Your dealer is a bad businessman that he did not do this for you. Ask him to do it anyway. If he installed it, then he should..

Connah , no , no point useing stiffer spring if its not slipping

i used STOCK contra spring and did 130kph and CVT worked like a dream

stiffer contra spring = lose power = creat lotsa of heat= wear out all the parts ( like pully and belt)

stronger spring effect is like useing lighter rolller = raise your rpm , so some idiots think it increase performance , if they would use lighter rollers it would do same ..
