what is the best crank, cylinder, carb, exhaust, reeds, etc for power for am6

I think Metrakit crankshaft is one of the best for the Minarelli. The Metrakit 70 cc cylinder are very good, or the MHR Replica 80 cc, or if you want cheaper parts the Athena cylinder is quite good! A 21 mm carb+carbon membrans are necessary for the 70 cc tuning, you can buy the complete Malossi reed cage.
About the pipes.. I don't know what is really good, maybe the Yasuni and the Metrakit..

There is a 90 cc Simonini kit for the MInarelli AM6 too, with rotax exhaust ports, longer storke etc.. but you need other modifications too (engine machining, 24-28 mm carb etc..)

90cc
that sounds good
what machining is required?

what is a rotax exhaust port?
does this mean a special exhaust is needed

i am assuming the 90cc kit will be the fastest, yes?

Yes 90 cc Simonini is one of the best ! Rotax = one oval exhaust port and two auxilary exhaust port. Special exhaust i1n"t needed!

because of the londer stroke and bigger piston the crankcase needs larger bore!

I know that the Metrakit Pro Race parts are very good for the AM6 engine.

One I know runs a RS50 with the following setup:
Metra Kit Pro Race krumtap - Crankshaft
Metra Kit Pro Race cylinderkit - Cylinder
Polini Evolution stempel - Piston
Metra Kit Pro Race udstødning, Limited Edition :) - Exhaust
Metra Kit Pro Race koblingskit - Clutch
Metra Kit Pro Race tændspole & CDI (Stadigvæk med lys og elstarter) - Ignition (Coil+CDI - light and electrical starter still works)
Dell Orto PHBL 25 BS karburator - Carburettor.
Doppler Venturi luftfilter, modded - Airfilter
14 / 47 gearing - Gearings

Topfart: ~130km/t @ 13000rpm. 145km/t har den været oppe på én gang med vinden i ryggen, hjemvé, osv :) Målt via GPS.
HK: 19,14hk

It's the owner of the Mopegallery.dk site that have that RS ;)

19 hp is good ... but i want more

i want to get near 25hp

if it can be done on a automatic it must also be possible with gears

will 90cc simonini do this much power?

You could get hands on a 2fast cylinder, and then modify a lot on everything and such - But believe me - 19HP on a RS is a lot of power!

do they do 2fast4race for am6?

19hp is a lot, but more is always better!!

so i am thinking

28/32 mikuni/keihin
90 simonini, cylindr and crankshaft
yasuni/metrakit exhaust

what about reedvalve and ignition ?

will this do 20+ hp?

I think the 90 cc has more potential, a 90 cc RS can do more than 150 (real) km/h!

I think yes, you can buy the Tassinari reed valve , there is a Vforce3 for the Minarelli AM engine

Personally I reccomend you the PVL or the HPI ignition system, but you can buy the Selettra (Malossi) if you want!

Why would you prefer these ignitions indstead of for example the Malossi, Polini or Italkit? (All Selettra)

the reedvalve looks very good!

do pvl/hpi/malossi ignition still give power for the lights?

nope
but u can get a little light coil for HPI
its called a Lichtspeol in Dutch
it provides about 10 watts i think
so it might be ok for rearlights and indicators

Tassinari doesn't list a Vforce for the HMin. Will one of them fit?

We talk about Minarelli AM engine!!

However there is also Tassinari reed cage for Minarelli Horizontal engine, look at the other topics, you will find pictures too!

Look at:

You'll fin all about the VForce3 for Mina engines
these manifolds ar available for am6 engines but not for horizontal minarelli...i emailed jeff and he would not send me one becaue they are not in production!!! mexicano simply got a prototype...jeff said they are not finished weeding out all of the problems. they should be in production around october time...till then i use polini...which is the best one?

what difference would the better ignitions give, except no lights!!

can i advance or retard the timing as standard by moving the backplate?
