21mm dellorto Carb

Hi I am going to buy a 21mm dellorto carb off someone and he had previously had the carb on a Yamaha Slider (AC) I want to fit the carb to my Piaggio Typhoon 50 (AC) will it fit?

is your scooter completely stock? if yes then a 21mm carb is too big, go buy a 70cc kit you'll feel the difference.

now that clears things up a bit, sure it'll work with a 70cc kit but the question is can you tune it to make it work?

Ok thanks would I be advised to fit a semi-open air filter with this such as the Doppler one? Also why did he ask me 'can i tune it to make it work?' what does he mean by tuning a carb.

he ment can you set it up right, well most air filters do the same job but id go with a foam filter like the malossi burger filter or the polini donkey dick! im using a ramair/stage6 filter thats quite good

Ok thanks but those Air Filters are not good in the rain? The bike will cut out

iv never had no problems in wet weather at all and i dont even have a mudguard
