should I buy a 2001 mulagati

He wants $1200. I will test drive it on Thursday. It has the 70cc engine with 2000km. I know it's not water cooled. Probably doesn't have maintenance records. I dont know any other specifics yet.

I can run a compression check. What psi is good?

I work on my 2003 VW Jetta diesel wagon with success, but have never worked with scooters before. I hope to do a lot of the work myself. Thanks so much for any help. Gas prices are just going up up and away!

I don't really know prices in you'r country but if i had to pay ~800 euro's voor a scooter build in 2001 with 70cc engine. i would be crazy. U could buy a simular scooter in holland voor 400 euro's.

What country? For most countries I would definately say too expensive. Should be more like 700-900 USD. Depends on the type also. Malaguti Firefox (F15)? Malaguti Phantom (F12)? Malaguti Warrior (F18)?

Had a 40km ride today. Everything seems to work alright. Good acceleration, brakes, night time lights.

I will be busy reading a lot. Any suggestions on beginning maintenance.

Check the oil level and watch the temperature meter, should be on 2 or 3 green stripes

I ordered some Amzoil Interceptor for long term use.

Oil is used up in a 2stroke engine, so there is no "long term use" unless you mean you bought a lot of it.
