Yea, but i have very little proper Würth engine sealent left, so I felt bad about that. Dont really care what happens to the gasket though, because it is the old kit, hopefully the SA guys won´t get mad...I can always get a new one from the local dealership.

use ThreeBond gasket sealant, much better than silicone sealant, doesn't soften up like silicone when exposed to gasoline.

So I got a mail from the SA guys. They said, when they get my old parts back, they will immediately send new ones. Both crank and cylinder. So tomorrow I will take the crank off and the day after that I will send the parts to SA.

So today I marked the carter for porting. Removed the crankshaft and tomorrow I´ll send them.

Today I disembled everything on the frame. It and all the rest of the metal parts are going to sand blasting next week. Need to tune the carter, but I haven´t found the right tools yet. Some pictures tomorrow.

I did clean it yesterday, and also started porting the engine... Some pics of the progress:

I´m half way there, I think. What do you guys think? Still need to grind some more and smoothen it down with sandpaper and polish...

Didn´t really get what you were saying tiba, please again :S
Anyway today I smoothen the surface at first with a 100 grain sandpaper and then with a 400, the result is much better, but my hand went numb and I quit for today.

So I´m almost finished with the carter. I didn´t go max, but I´m hoping for some more hp/s still. Some places are rough yet, but I will smoothen it up...

you did a fair job with the carters but it could be much better than it is now, try harder next time.

Well you guys are out of my league atm Didn´t have a good Dremel aswell. I´m not happy with the result, but it is ok Quite smooth actually, I could have taken like 0.5mm more from the sides and the top part. Oh and about the upper part of the carter. The gasket is not flat from the top, but I didn´t dare to make a curve there, should I?

The part with yellow, is what the gasket was like. The sidex2 with red have some 0.5mm more space...

refit the evo gasket again & this time use a silicone sealant to fix the gasket in place, scribe the lines again with something pointy & this time stay within the lines, use your grinder carefully, learn to steady your hand & most of all exercise extreme patience.

learn as you go & the more experience you accumulate the easier & faster the job becomes.
