Help with seal on Variator side of carters

Greetings,
I'm putting a 12mm crank in my minarelli engine. I have the seals but want to make sure that I'm doing things right and proper. Does the seal on the variator side have a second ring that has to be pressed in after the first. Or is that seal like the one on the other side and is only one piece?

Only 1 piece.
You need to push it in, until you see the gap.

The seal has a 'ring' on his outside diameter.
That part of the seal locks itself in the gap of the cranckcase.

No need to push further. Just push untill you can see the gap.

I actually made some special tools for installing crank seals on the lathe.

(These have not yet been finished. Metal will be blackened)

They make installing seals much easier. Both seals are only 1 piece. On some Mina engines, there is a circlip that goes in after the vario side seal is installed. On some, the circlip is not there... Guess it depends on which scooter. Make sure you get the seals in straight and even or they'll wear out too quick.
