Hi you all guys, my name is Márcio and i'm from Portugal. I own a yamaha Aerox year 2000 and i think it's time to show you my project that takes me awhile to get to this apresentable state
It all started a year ago when i bought a used stage6 racing cylinder, and then i bought modular head and a new piston, so right now my setup is:
Stage6 Racing Modular 12mm;
Stage6 HPC crankshaft with polini smallend bearing 12mm;
SKF C3 bearings;
Roost pipe;
Vforce3 reedbloock;
Stage6 manifold adapter with costum wig;
Modified subframe
Keihin TA-09 26mm tuned;
Stage6 double-layer racing air filter;
MVT Millenium ignition;
Top Performance Racing variator;
Top Performance belt;
Polini 2G clutch;
Malossi ring;
Stage6 bell;
Malossi 13/44 primary gear;
Stage6 14/41 secondary gear (i have to choose between this and malossi one, i'm testing which on makes the best combination, opinions are welcome )
Electric Bosch waterpump;
Front x8r forks;
Rear YSS schock (in the future i want malossi RS24);
Rear Braking disc 190mm;
Front Metrakit disc 220mm;
Woodman stem with bike handle bar;
Stage6 manual choke;
Quick action throttle tomaselli;
Stage6 termperateur gauge;
Some polished parts;
BCD underseat;
So, here's the pictures:
Stage6 racing modular (this pictures were taken by mobile phone, sory for bad quality. I've polished exhaust port and made a few major aprovements for better flow, i guess ):
Stage6 crankshaft:
MVT millenium:
Custom wig made by a friend of mine, after riding the bike for a while i've polished the surfaces to be smooth and avoid possible air leaks, so in all pictures i'll see it this way:
Stage6 adaptor:
Roost pipe:
Rear Braking disc:
In order to use x8r forks, i've to made some changes on my rim, i've to cut "disk suport" (don't know a better name) to align disk with brake caliper:
Fork:
handle bar:
Woodman stem:
This are the parts that took me sometime to get done:
To use such a big carburator, the original subframe was modified. We shop one Bilstein shock absorver from a jeep and use the "steel" bar (chrome bar) to reinforce the subframe:
To avoid the oscillations when the bike pull off and loss of power, i use two rubber bushes (don't know if is this the name, but you see what i mean on picture below) to keep the motor still, no more up and down. Thei're boldt in frame:
As you know, keihin TA-09 was made for NSR-400, a 3cylinder bike, so it's not P&P. I've changed the throttle mechanism (link arm set), the venturi is now 26mm all along, instead of raise to 32mm as factory, polished venturi and throttle valve. The exit is made to perfect fit on stage6 adaptor:
It's all bling bling but when i mounted it's all cover with fingers and the shineless, i got the clean it again
original choke tuned for using stage6 choke adaptor:
For adjusting idle:
Stage6 adaptor (the hole wasn't aligned):
Everthing in place:
So right now this is how my aerox looks like, hope you like it. Opinions for anything i did wrong, or could be better are welcome, allways learning, i'll keep this updated
